CASH Group Bets on Digital Channels.

The CASH Group is betting resolutely on the digital growth market as the first integrated media provider in Switzerland to do so. The existing digital products CASH.ch, CASH mobile and CASH daily will be expanded further, and the weekly newspaper CASH will be discontinued at the end of June.

The CASH Group will concentrate more strongly on an integrated multi-channel strategy and consequently on the platform CASH daily with its digital media starting on 1 July. The weekly print publication, launched in 1989, will appear for the last time on 28 June and then close, conditional on the legally prescribed say in the matter of the staff representatives.

The 46 staff members affected will mainly be employed further in the CASH Group and at other Ringier publications.

An agreement has been reached with the publishing groups Handelszeitung and Jean Frey about delivering substitute publications to subscribers of the weekly publication CASH, according to which they will take over supplying the regular subscribers as of July 2007.

Subscribers to the weekly publication CASH will be informed personally about the possibilities for the remaining subscription period. Subscribers will be contacted personally in the next weeks and informed about their possibilities for the remaining subscription period paid in advance. Subscribers can select from among the business publications Handelszeitung, Bilanz and Stocks from the publishing groups Handelszeitung and Jean Frey.

With this measure, the CASH Group is continuing its way resolutely as the first integrated media provider in Switzerland, which was started with the launching of CASH daily in September 2006, the first multimedia business newspaper in Switzerland. CASH daily provides a live paper, WebTV, video and audio podcasts as well as a printed issue daily. CASH daily already has more than 26,000 registered live paper users and distributes more than 100,000 copies.

The CASH Group also includes cash.ch, the largest economic and finance platform independent of banks in Switzerland with 220,000 users monthly, CASH mobile, the leading mobile information service for those interested in the business world as well as the TV shows CASH-TV and CASH-Talk on SF2.
