Yamo AG is a food tech start-up based in Switzerland that supplies fresh, organic and completely natural food for young children. Its new gentle high-pressure method enables yamo to retain natural vitamins while achieving a shelf life of several weeks without using any additives. Young and health-conscious parents face a hard decision: either take the time-intensive approach and prepare baby food themselves, or buy heat-sterilised products in the supermarket. All yamo’s baby food has been developed together with nutritionists, paediatricians and more than 50 young parents. Yamo won the Swiss Startup Day 2016 and the Digital Commerce Startup Award 2018. The company was founded in 2016 by food scientist José Amado-Blanco, communication scientist Luca Michas and business economist Tobias Gunzenhauser.
